TaleForMe
A present for a four-year-old who has opinions
Four-year-olds notice everything. This is a present built entirely from things they will notice.

By four, a child has a favourite colour they will defend, a best friend whose name comes up daily, and strong views on which pyjamas are acceptable.
That is a lot of material for a story, and it is the age where personalisation stops being cute and starts being genuinely delightful.
A proper story, not just a name-drop
Twenty illustrated spreads with a real problem in the middle — something goes wrong, they try, it does not work, they try differently. Four-year-olds are ready for that, and they notice when a story has no shape.
The year of big changes
Preschool, a new baby, a house move, a first sleepover. If something is coming, the book can be about that — and it will do more good than any amount of gentle explaining.
Questions
Can I include their best friend?
Yes — name, and one line about them if you like. Friends can be in the pictures as well as the words.
What if they cannot read yet?
This is a read-aloud picture book. The words are for you; the pictures are for them.
Make their book
Five minutes, nothing to pay, and you read the opening pages before you decide.
